Advanced Lens Implant Options/ Cataract Surgery





Advanced lens implants or Premium Intraocular lenses are the latest advancements in technology improving quality of life and minimizing the need for glasses. These lenses allow for less dependence on glasses for daily activities including driving and reading.


For patients who have astigmatism there are new options for correcting this during cataract surgery. To see if Toric IOLs (astigmatism correcting lens implants) are right for you, feel free to call us.


Many options for special technology IOLs (intraocular lens implants) are available but not all may be the right choice for any given individual. Dr. Bhatia will help you sort through the options to find the ones that are best suited for your needs.



Corneal Surgery





We offer the latest options for various corneal diseases. The procedures can be done in the office or surgery center based on the type of surgery.


The various surgeries we offer include: collagen crosslinking, pterygium surgery with grafts, corneal transplants, keratectomy, amniotic ocular surface transplantation, surgical and nonsurgical management of ocular surface cancers etc.


Dr. Bhatia’s decades of experience in ophthalmology allows for successful management of the most complex surgeries.



Glaucoma surgery





Glaucoma is unfortunately a common condition and requires chronic care to be kept under control with drops and/or surgery. Dr. Bhatia offers various glaucoma surgeries and lasers. He commonly performs these surgeries in conjunction with cataract surgery or other surgeries that patients are referred for.



Ocular trauma and Intraocular lens damage options





Dr. Bhatia is frequently referred patients from DFW ophthalmologists to assist in correcting traumatic and nontraumatic lens dislocations. He has extensive experience in this type of surgery and the repair of various traumatic ocular injuries. Our team approach with local ophthalmologists and optometrists allows for the best outcomes for our patients.



Lasik/PRK





LASIK (Laser assisted in-situ Keratomileusis) was FDA approved in 1997. PRK (photrefractive keratectomy) was approved prior to LASIK. These surgeries have a significant track record of being safe and effective in the right candidates. Like any tool, it is best when used in the right situation. Dr. Bhatia has significant experience in LASIK and PRK as well as other options which may be best suited for your needs.

Contact Lens fittings are offered to our established patients. We can assist you and your optometrist in selection of the best contact lens options for your ocular health. We also help manage unexpected conditions that may arise with the normal use or misuse of contact lenses.
